Signs Your Body is Too Acidic and How to Fix it !

The human body is a perfect machine, which is completely based on balance. Of intake and output, of chemicals and “good” and “bad” bacteria, of acids etc. the human body can either have a pH positive (pH+) or pH negative (pH-) acidic base.

Checking in which of the two types you belong to is done through a simple blood test.

The pH measures the acidity or alkalinity of your organism. For a regular functioning of the organism, your body must be in perfect balance between both of them.

However, there are some disorders that make the body to become more acidic than alkaline, causing some serious negative effects to the whole organism.

This disorder is commonly known in the medicine world as “acidosis”. Your lungs and kidneys can usually compensate for slight pH imbalances, but problems with these organs can lead to excess acid accumulating in your body.

Signs of acidosis:

  • Weak bones. If just recently you’ve got diagnosed with osteoporosis, this might be the cause. Calcium neutralizes acidity and your body takes calcium from the bones to neutralize acidity. That’s why your bones got weak. Try not drinking coffee, sodas and similar acidic fluids.
  • Sleeping problems. Chronic sleep deprivation can also be a symptomatic disorder of acidosis. The Human Nutrition Research Center in North Dakota connects the lack of calcium with sleeping disorders, such as insomnia, short sleep cycles and often waking up.
  • Overweight. Your pancreas produces more insulin than you need in the state of acidosis. If you’re not overeating or eating more sweets than usual and gaining weight, this might be the problem. Because the body produces more insulin than needed, the sugars are directly put into fat tissue, because the body isn’t normally able to detoxify with the increased level of sugar in the blood.
  • Sensitive teeth and dental issues. The International Journal of Chemical Engineering and Applications conducted a study which connected acidosis and damaged teeth. Cavity and oversensitivity of your teeth could be a symptomatic disorder of too much acid in your organism.

Baking soda and apple cider vinegar

It’s an alternative medicine, usually when a woman is pregnant and isn’t allowed to drink any pills, she is advised to drink this to get rid of acids in her stomach.

The recipe is quite simple. Just add a third of a teaspoon of baking soda into 2 tablespoons of vinegar.  Than, wait for the fizz to go away. Add water, about 8 ounces and drink it. It’s not as tasty as it is healthy, you can be sure of that.

Lemon juice

Lemons are an incredible alkaline! Just squash those lemons, avoid adding sugar since it increases the acid in your body and drink it once in the day.
