Parsley Tea with Lemon and Honey Has This Amazing Effect on Your Body

Parsley is far more from just a simple garnish for your favorite foods, as you’ve probably noticed quite a few restaurants doing this. But this herb has many health properties too.

  1. Tumor Prevention

“Myristicin” is a compound found in parsley that’s naturally occurring and it’s been proven to be effective when it comes to reducing the growth of tumors in the stomach and lungs.

  1. Nerve Damage Treatment

Neurotoxicity is the leading cause for nerve damage. For those of you who might not be familiar with the term neurotoxicity, it refers to damage to the brain or peripheral nervous system that is mainly caused by man-made toxic substances, some of which include substances like pesticides or heavy metals.

These toxins can alter the activity of the nervous system in ways that can disrupt or kill nerves. This was used as a means of mass carnages back in the old days. And nerves are kind of essential for transmitting and processing information in the brain – so that being said, we can tell you that there’s a study that found that parsley juice was an effective agent at improving symptoms caused by neurotoxicity.

  1. Inflammation Reduction

Inflammation is one of the most common causes – if not THE most common cause for chronic diseases, such as gout, arthritis, and osteoarthritis. Fortunately, parsley can help with this too!

There is a really high concentration of vitamin C in parsley, so it can help reduce levels of CRP (c-reaction protein) in the body, which are well-known inflammatory markers.

There are many ways to consume parsley, but among the most effective ones is to drink it as a tea. Here’s how you can make your own parsley tea at home:

What you will need:

  • Four to five sprigs of parsley
  • Three cups of water
  • A quarter or a half of a lemon
  • One teaspoon of honey

How to make it:

  1. Bring water to a low boil.
  2. Put a lemon and some parsley into a heatproof cup or container
  3. Pour the hot water in the container.
  4. Let steep for five minutes.
  5. Remove lemon and parsley and add in honey.
