Summer is here and you know what that means, right!? Cold drinks outside next to the pool, chilling with friends, just living the good life. And you know what we mean by cold drinks, right? That’s right – ICED COFFEE!
Even if you’re not a coffee drinker, when summer hits, the more ice in your coffee, the merrier.
And here’s the best part: you don’t have to spend all your money at Starbucks to get your favorite iced coffee. There are so many ways to make a summer beverage at home and it’s gonna end up being even better than Starbucks – you just need to follow the recipe and then just enjoy. Sara Lynn Cauchon at the Domestic Geek will be showing us what that recipe is.
All of her iced coffee recipes are made in a blender, so that’s more or less the only thing you’ll need to make them – blending them gives it a more frothy texture than just pouring coffee over ice.
Sara’s recommendations are to brew some strong coffee the night before and to store it in the fridge overnight. She brews it about one and a half times the strength of traditional coffee – because you will add some ice to it which will dilute it, remember, ice is practically water.
